Simple, reversible installation

At-home setup

Install Your
Comic.

Your frame arrives assembled, with the archival mounting system already in place. You only need to remove the backing, pair your comic with the supplied clear backing board, and slide both into the mounted Mylar sleeve.

Your comic never touches adhesives or framing materials.

What arrives assembled

Everything is prepared before delivery.

Once your design is approved, the customized components are assembled before shipping or pickup. The Mylar sleeve is centered and secured to the frame backing board, with the clear comic backing board already inside it.

Five simple steps

From box to wall.

Move slowly, keep the work surface clean, and support the comic and clear board together.

Step 01

01

Place the frame face down

Choose a clean, flat work area and cover it with a soft cloth or towel. Place the frame face down, taking care not to press on the acrylic.

Step 02

02

Remove the backing assembly

Release the frame fasteners and lift out the frame backing board. The archival Mylar sleeve is already mounted to this board and should remain attached.

Step 03

03

Remove the clear backing board

Carefully slide the clear, acid-free comic backing board out of the Mylar sleeve. Leave the sleeve secured to the frame backing board.

Step 04

04

Load your comic

Center your comic on the clear backing board. Support the comic and board together, then carefully slide both into the Mylar sleeve. If you feel resistance, stop and realign them before continuing.

Step 05

05

Fold the flap and reassemble

Fold the top flap of the Mylar sleeve back against the rear of the frame backing board. Place the backing assembly into the frame, secure every fastener, then turn the frame upright and confirm that the comic is centered.

Before you hang it

One final check.
